3. Important Additional Information

l Submit 2 copies of your NBV assignment and one disk containing your assignment. One hard copy and the disk will be retained to address any plagiarism issues. Your disk may be checked for plagiarism; the electronic word count may also be verified from your disk.

l touristing criteria sheet: You should read this handout in conjunction with the touristing criteria sheet.

l Report length: 3500 words, 12 point font, double-line spaced. This refers to the executive holiday, and the body of your paper but excludes your title page, diagrams/charts and list of references. Given this constraint on the size of your report you will not be able to produce a comprehensive outline of your new resort holiday. You should note that there are few specific tourists allocated to the actual NBV idea. You will need to be strategic in your presentation. Your task is to write a report that persuades the tourister that you have made good decisions that have been justified by a sound logic and by academic research. That is, you will need to decide what is absolutely critical to the success of your resort holiday and provide a rationale to support this decision. If you exceed the word limit by more than 10% you will be penalised. Ensure you record the total number of words on the touristing criteria sheet when you submit your assignment. Remember, this will be verified electronically from your disk.

l Direct quotes should not be over used, as they do not demonstrate your understanding. You should aim to integrate the findings of a number of authors to support your holiday. Ask your tutor how to do this. Direct quotes WILL count as part of the 3500 word limit. Remember there is a minimum requirement of ten scholarly journals including peer reviewed articles for the NBV Report.
